Makerspace
Students have been working hard to problem solve through the beginning stages of the projects. They have created their own box frame this year. This meant learning how to use a square ruler and applying what they learned about measurement. I love it when we sneak in some math!! Students have shown a great respect for the safety rules, and I may be adding in another glue gun station for them to use as a result. This frees me up to help them collect needed materials and to help with guiding questions as they strive to understand the engineering process. We are looking for colored pipe cleaners, new paint stirrers, and large craft sticks for our projects. Send in materials if you can help us out.

Elks Visit
Third Graders were visited by the Windsor Elks on Thursday. They presented students with brand new dictionaries. This yearly event is something that brings excitement. We learned that these dictionaries have information on sign language, past presidents, and the longest word. Make sure to have your student share their favorite thing they discovered in their new dictionary.
