Indoor Recess:
Rainy Days are fun too! 3M had fun building with Legos, building blocks, drawing, and playing checkers. We even had castles being made with stairs on the inside!
Science:
Today in science we did some cooking with the help of our Farm to School Group. We will do a taste test of our muffins tomorrow during the 3-5 lunch. Students worked in teams of 3 or 4 to produce a tasty Rutabaga Ginger Muffin. We used the rutabagas they planted as second graders and harvested a week back. Can't wait for the tasting tomorrow to see what they think.

Forest Friday: Last Friday, 3S took advantage of the fabulous autumn weather and spent time at the outdoor pavilion as we figure out how to work as a learning group outside. We finished making our nature journals, did some leaf rubbings, and wrote some reflections. Despite the fact that I sat on a very sap laden pine cone, I really enjoyed our sharing circle as they showed their treasures to each other. We even had time to play a fun game of Park Ranger and are excited to find an opportunity to teach 3M to play this game with us. |
